Katie Tierney

Katie has been a vital part of the Commonwealth Animal Hospital team since November 2011. A 2009 graduate of Midway College with a Bachelor’s degree in Equine Management, Katie was pleasantly surprised to discover her true passion lay in small animal veterinary assisting. She is thrilled to have found her calling and brings over a decade of experience to our patients every day.

With a deep commitment to patient comfort, Katie has developed special interests in surgery and pain management. In addition to her clinical work, she also assists with hospital management, helping to ensure the clinic runs smoothly for our clients and their pets.

Katie lives in rural Harrodsburg, where she enjoys spending her free time involved in ministry work and working outdoors on her property. Her home is shared with her two dogs, Atari and Banjo, and a special cat named Eevee, whom she adopted from Dr. Bosse.
